Fiber optic attenuators are devices that reduce signal power in fiber optic links by inducing a fixed or variable loss. They are used to control the power level of optical signals at the outputs of light sources and electrical-to-optical (E/O) converters. They are also used to test the linearity and dynamic range of photo sensors and photo detectors.
Fiber optic attenuators feature a proprietary type of metal-ion doped fibre, which reduces the light signal as it passes through, providing the highest performance in the 1310, C and L banks. These attenuators are capable of withstanding over 1W of high power light exposure for extended periods of time and also provide excellent optical characteristics including Low Polarization Dependent Loss (PDL) and a stable and independent wavelength distribution.
KOC Europe supplies a complete line of Adapter Type Fixed Attenuators, In-line Fixed Attenuators, Plug-in Fixed Attenuators and In-line Variable Attenuators which can be used for Telecommunication Networks, Data Networks, Video & CATV Networks, Active device termination.
